IT Systems & Network Administrator Full Time

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Systems & Network Administrator to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on networking, virtualization, firewalls, and Windows-based server environments.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in enterprise networking, virtualization platforms, and Microsoft server technologies. Furthermore, this is a work from office opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure including routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall policies.
• Manage and administer Proxmox virtualization environment (clusters, VMs, storage, backups, and high availability).
• Configure, deploy, and maintain pfSense firewalls, including NAT, traffic shaping, VPN (IPsec/OpenVPN/WireGuard), IDS/IPS, and security rules.
• Manage Active Directory infrastructure – including domain controllers, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user/group management, OU structure, and AD integration with other systems.
• Install, configure, and administer Windows Server 2022 environments (Standard/Datacenter edition), including roles like DHCP, DNS, File & Print Services, RDS, and Hyper-V where required.
• Monitor system performance, security logs, and network traffic; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Implement and maintain backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity measures.
• Ensure security best practices across the network, servers, and endpoints.
• Manage user access, permissions, and IT support escalations.
• Document network diagrams, server configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members for infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Enterprise Networking (Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN)
• Proxmox VE (Virtualization platform)
• pfSense Firewalls (configuration, hardening, and advanced features)
• Active Directory (design, administration, troubleshooting)
• Windows Server 2022 (installation, configuration, and administration)
• In-depth knowledge of firewall rules, security policies, and network segmentation.
• Experience with server hardware, RAID configurations, and storage systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
• Good understanding of Linux basics (especially Debian-based systems used in Proxmox/pfSense).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as:
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• CompTIA Network+ / Security+
• CCNA or equivalent
• Proxmox or pfSense-related certifications (added advantage)
• Experience with cloud hybrid setups (Azure AD / Entra ID integration) is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
