We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. IT Network Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and performance across our infrastructure. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping the network and cloud connectivity for our organization and requires a unique blend of modern SRE practices and deep expertise in traditional on-premises network technologies, making it ideal for someone who can bridge legacy systems with cloud-native architectures.

This position demands a strategic thinker with a deep technical background and the ability to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure and other public cloud services to drive innovation and efficiency across our network and cloud environments. This individual will be responsible for leading the design, architecture and deployment of complex network and cloud connectivity projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, resilience, and security. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including other architects, security, and infrastructure operations staff, to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions that align with our strategic goals. As a Senior Engineer, you will be a trusted advisor and leader within the organization, driving forward our mission to deliver reliable, secure, and innovative network and cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead corporate engineer initiatives to improve system reliability, availability, and performance across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
• Design and architect scalable, secure by design, and high-performance traditional on-premises network and cloud network solutions including switches, routers, firewalls, load balances and VPNs, using but not limited to Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure, OCI and AWS technologies.
• Lead the implementation and integration of network and cloud connectivity projects.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network and cloud architecture documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence.
• Perform network and cloud infrastructure assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network and cloud security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Develop standards and processes for the design, standardization, engineering, implementation, and maximization of cloud services used across the organization.
• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for critical infrastructure and applications.
• Identify and drive automation of operational tasks.

Skills

• Strong expertise in traditional on-premises networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, and network security principles.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or OCI) and hybrid cloud network architecture.
• Extensive experience with Cisco networking technologies (e.g., network protocols, routers, switches, firewalls, Cisco ISE).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, including networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with network monitoring, automation and orchestration tools.
• Experience in migrating from traditional on-premises technologies to cloud platforms is required.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on products services, protocols and standards to support all network procurement.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in network, security and cloud technologies.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers.

Education/Technology

• 8+ years of experience in Network Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Network Engineering roles.
• Certifications in networking (CCNP/CCIE) or cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with legacy systems modernization and data center migrations.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and enterprise change management processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
