US GAAP Accountant Full Time NEW

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior US GAAP Accountant with 3–4 years of hands-on experience to support day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and tax-related activities. The role involves working in a US accounting environment using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Assist in month-end close activities
• Support tax-related work (basic US taxation, sales tax, documentation)
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist in preparing reports for internal review
• Coordinate with the Senior Accountant for reviews and corrections

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance)
• 2–4 years of experience in US accounting / US GAAP environment
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (mandatory)
• Basic understanding of **Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong knowledge of:
• Journal entries
• Reconciliations
• AP/AR processes
• Exposure to taxation (basic level)
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with US-based clients or accounting processes
• Exposure to sales tax / payroll accounting / compliance support
• Familiarity with any ERP/accounting tools (in addition to QuickBooks)
