Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Procurement to lead and optimize the organization’s end-to-end procurement function. The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, cost optimization, contract negotiations, and building a scalable procurement framework aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement StrategyDevelop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and improve procurement efficiency
• Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementBuild and manage a strong vendor ecosystem across categories
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, and performance management
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Operations, Legal)
• Sourcing & Category ManagementOversee strategic sourcing across direct and indirect spend categories
• Implement category management practices and sourcing frameworks
• Process & GovernanceEstablish procurement policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal audit requirements
• Cost Optimization & AnalyticsDrive data-led procurement decisions and spend analysis
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering initiatives
• Team LeadershipBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team
• Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Key Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain
• Proven experience in leading procurement functions at scale
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management
• Experience across industries such as Manufacturing, BFSI, Retail, or Technology preferred
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Prior experience in leadership roles managing teams

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce
• MBA (Supply Chain / Operations / Finance) preferred
