Responsibilities / Tasks
- Review and oversee monthly closing activities in line with the group closing calendar to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved accounting and controlling standards.
- Ensure correct classification and accounting treatment of transactions in accordance with IFRS and group accounting policies.
- Ensure timely preparation, review, and submission of all financial and management reports to HQ and local management, in strict adherence to defined reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and perform monthly variance analysis for Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet items against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Analyze underlying variance drivers and provide clear, structured, and transparent explanations to local management and HQ Controlling.
- Monitor, control, and reconcile intercompany receivables and balances, ensuring timely clarification and settlement.
- Support internal, statutory, and group audits by preparing audit schedules and providing timely and accurate clarifications.
8 Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities within financial closing and reporting processes, and proactively recommend process and control enhancements in line with group standards and best practices
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant with up to 2 years of experience post qualification experience.
- Experience in a multinational or HQ reporting environment preferred.
- Experience in SAP would be an added advantage.
