Head of Performance Marketing (D2C)

About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Performance Marketing to lead paid growth across our D2C business. This role will own customer acquisition, paid media efficiency, and channel-scale strategy across Meta, Google, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
The ideal candidate has a strong record of scaling revenue through performance marketing while maintaining discipline on CAC, ROAS, contribution margin, and conversion quality. This is a high-ownership role with direct impact on growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Own paid acquisition strategy and execution across Meta Ads, Google Ads, YouTube, and other performance channels
* Scale revenue profitably while improving CAC, MER, ROAS, and contribution margin
* Build channel-level growth plans for prospecting, retargeting, remarketing, and repeat purchase acceleration
* Work closely with creative, retention, product, and merchandising teams to improve conversion and customer value
* Lead media planning, budget allocation, pacing, and weekly/monthly performance reviews
* Drive continuous testing across creatives, audiences, landing pages, offers, and funnel stages
* Identify growth opportunities in new channels, new audience segments, and new campaign structures
* Build reporting systems and dashboards for daily, weekly, and monthly decision-making
* Improve attribution quality and ensure decisions are based on performance signals, not vanity metrics
* Mentor and manage internal team members, agencies, and external partners where relevant

Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of relevant experience in performance marketing, with meaningful exposure to D2C or e-commerce businesses
* Proven experience managing and scaling paid media budgets across Meta and Google
* Strong understanding of acquisition funnels, landing page performance, and conversion drivers
* Hands-on experience with campaign planning, bid strategies, audience structures, and creative testing
* Strong analytical skills with experience using dashboards, attribution tools, and reporting frameworks
* Ability to work cross-functionally with creative, product, design, retention, and operations teams
* Clear communication, ownership mindset, and strong execution speed
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in Shopify-led D2C brands
* Experience in categories such as wellness, lifestyle, beauty, spiritual commerce, or high-intent consumer products
* Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, Triple Whale, Hyros, Northbeam, or equivalent analytics/reporting tools
* Experience leading in-house teams and managing agencies
* Strong understanding of creative strategy and performance-focused content iteration
