Job Title: Safety Officer (Contractual)
Location: Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir
Employment Type: Contractual
Joining: Immediate
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our manufacturing and bottling partner facility in Kathua. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment, and implementing best practices across plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation and adherence to all safety policies and procedures in the manufacturing plant
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures
- Monitor compliance with statutory safety regulations and standards
- Conduct safety training sessions and awareness programs for employees
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports
- Maintain safety records, documentation, and reports as per regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with plant teams to ensure continuous improvement in safety performance
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across the facility
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology)
- ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) – Mandatory
Experience
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and plant safety
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations
- Experience in manufacturing and bottling plant operations preferred
- Good communication and training skills
- Ability to handle audits and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Additional Requirements
- Immediate joiner preferred
- Willingness to work on a contractual role
- Comfortable working in plant/manufacturing environment
