We are seeking an accomplished and forward‑thinking Senior Director for the Global Capability Center to join our client’s team in India. The ideal candidate will identify, champion, and execute strategic organisational priorities that enhance team effectiveness, elevate technical capability, and enable scalable process improvements. This role provides leadership for day‑to‑day operations to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery against customer needs and business objectives, while partnering with senior leadership to define and advance long‑term strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long‑term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the India GCC as a strategic engineering hub, fully aligned with the company’s global business objectives, product roadmap, and technology priorities.
• Lead end‑to‑end engineering delivery across software and product development, project engineering, R&D, quality assurance, and technical operations, ensuring scalable, high‑quality outcomes that meet or exceed global SLAs and business KPIs.
• Build and lead a high‑performance leadership and engineering organization, attracting, developing, and retaining top‑tier talent while fostering an inclusive culture, strong engagement, clear career pathways, and robust succession planning.
• Establish the GCC as a center of excellence by identifying and transitioning high‑value engineering work from global locations to India, while promoting engineering best practices, agile/DevOps adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the senior site and stakeholder leader for the GCC, strengthening collaboration with global engineering, product, and business leaders, ensuring effective communication, customer‑first service delivery, and strong alignment with the company’s priorities.
• Own operational and financial accountability for the GCC, including budget and capacity management, governance and compliance with Indian regulations, infrastructure and facilities oversight, risk management, and external representation to enhance the company’s employer brand in India.

Qualifications

• Education: BE/BTech in Engineering or Technology required; ME/MS in Engineering or MBA with honours preferred.
• Experience: 18+ years of progressive leadership experience in engineering, technology services, and/or project execution, with prior GCC or similar global delivery leadership strongly preferred.
• Organizational Leadership: Proven experience managing large, multidisciplinary engineering and technology organizations (500+ employees) within matrixed, multi‑country environments.
• Business & Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and operational management for an India‑based legal entity, coupled with executive‑level communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Domain & Delivery Expertise: Demonstrated success leading project‑based, engineered‑to‑order environments.
