An overview of this role
As a Staff Program Manager within GitLab’s Enterprise Technology organization, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs that advance our enterprise IT strategy. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor and program execution partner to IT leadership, translating strategic objectives into structured roadmaps and measurable outcomes. This is a highly visible role that requires both technical fluency and business acumen, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, align diverse stakeholders, and drive decisions across teams.
You will operate at the intersection of IT, Finance, Legal, Product, and Business operations, bringing structure and clarity to programs that span multiple domains and functions. Whether standing up new capabilities, improving governance practices, or scaling operational processes, you will be the connective tissue that keeps programs moving, risks surfaced, and stakeholders informed.

The CIO Enterprise Technology & AI team is GitLab’s central engine for improving the systems, data, and AI capabilities that support how we run the business. The team designs and operates enterprise applications, data platforms, corporate IT services, and AI-enabled workflows that help our globally distributed GitLab team members work effectively and securely.
You’ll join a team that partners closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, People, Product, and Security to turn business strategy into scalable, reliable technology solutions. The work is broad, visible, and deeply cross-functional, which makes strong program leadership essential. In this role, you’ll help teams stay aligned, make progress across complex initiatives, and bring transparency to how strategic work gets delivered across the organization.
