Job Overview
Jugal Tube is seeking an expert Senior Production Manager with specialized experience in Copper
Pipe manufacturing. This role requires a hands-on leader to take full ownership of our vertical production line—from the induction melting of copper through to the final production of high-precision finished copper tubes and pipes.
The successful candidate will ensure that our products meet the exacting standards required for HVAC, plumbing, and industrial applications while maximizing yield and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-End Oversight: Manage the complete production lifecycle: Melting rightarrow Casting rightarrowDrawing/Extrusion rightarrow Annealing rightarrow Finishing.
• Melting & Casting: Oversee the melting process to ensure correct chemical composition and minimize burning loss/wastage.
• Technical Quality: Ensure all copper pipes comply with international standards (ASTM, BS, or EN) regarding wall thickness, temper, and pressure ratings.
• Process Optimization: Reduce scrap rates during the cold drawing and straightening stages to improve overall plant recovery.
• Surface Integrity: Maintain strict control over cleaning and bright annealing processes to ensure defect-free internal and external surfaces.
• Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a large team of shop-floor supervisors and operators in the Vapi/Pardi facility.
• Maintenance & Safety: Coordinate preventive maintenance for furnaces and heavy machinery while enforcing zero-incident safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 10+ years in Copper Pipe/Tube manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of copper metallurgy, induction furnaces, and drawing bench operations.
• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills for production planning (ERP/Excel) and a proven track record of labor management in an industrial setting.
