About The Job

AI Engineer – Carbon Data Intelligence

Are you passionate about AI, data, and climate innovation? Do you want to build technology that directly accelerates an organization’s journey to Net Zero? We’re looking for an AI Engineer to help us industrialize carbon measurement and empower teams across the business with actionable decarbonization insights.

In this position, you will report to our Head of NetZero Transformation.

Main Responsibilities

As an AI Engineer, you will build and scale an AI‑driven Carbon Agent and the supporting data architecture that powers our global decarbonization strategy. You will combine machine learning, data engineering, and sustainability analytics to ensure our carbon data is accurate, governed, scalable, and ready to inform high‑impact decisions across the organization.

This is a unique opportunity to apply cutting‑edge AI to a real‑world sustainability challenge — and shape how we measure and reduce our carbon footprint worldwide.

About You

• Build and Scale Our AI‑Driven Carbon Agent
• Develop an AI Agent that automates carbon‑measurement workflows and improves data completeness and accuracy.
• Create ML models for data enhancement, anomaly detection, and automated correction.
• Build web‑scraping and entity‑recognition tools to enrich datasets with public and supplier information.
• Design matching algorithms that link activity data to precise emission factors, down to substance or material level.
• Ensure Our Carbon Data Ecosystem Is Robust and Scalable
• Design pragmatic AI‑enabled solutions to improve carbon‑calculation methods and automate data intake via APIs and database integrations.
• Partner with IT and Data Engineering to architect scalable data pipelines, storage solutions, and ETL processes.
• Implement data‑governance and quality‑assurance frameworks that ensure data integrity, reliability, and consistency.
• Support the development of a centralized carbon data repository as the single source of truth for the organization.
• Deliver Insights That Shape Decarbonization Strategy
• Build Data visualization tools to track key decarbonization metrics across multiple business functions.
• Run scenario analyses and predictive models to identify emission‑reduction opportunities and efficiency gains.
• Provide actionable insights to teams across Science Hub, Manufacturing & Supply, Procurement and Brands to help define their decarbonization roadmaps.

What You Bring

• 7-10 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data engineering, or applied data science.
• Hands‑on expertise with Python, cloud platforms, APIs, and modern data pipelines.
• Ability to translate complex data challenges into pragmatic, scalable solutions.
• Hands on experience on Data for Sustainability Use Cases.

You’ll play a pivotal role in building the AI foundation that accelerates our Net Zero transformation. Your work will directly influence how we measure carbon at scale and empower teams worldwide to take meaningful climate action.
