As an Accountant I for Indirect Tax (GST), you will be responsible for managing GST compliance, reconciliations, and indirect tax processes as part of the Finance & Accounts Division. You will work closely with the Tax Head, Finance team, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Sales and Logistics teams to ensure accurate GST compliance, reporting, and regulatory adherence. This role will be based in Goa, India with some travel to Bengaluru, India.

You Will Make An Impact By

• Managing GST compliance including preparation and timely filing of returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation and annual returns (GSTR-9 / 9C).
• Ensuring compliance with GST laws, notifications and amendments applicable to manufacturing operations.
• Monitoring GST liabilities and efficient utilization of Input Tax Credit (ITC).
• Performing periodic reconciliations between Books vs GSTR-1, Books vs GSTR-3B and Purchase register vs GSTR-2B.
• Identifying discrepancies and coordinating with internal teams and vendors for timely resolution.
• Supporting month-end closing by validating GST provisions and balances.
• Reviewing vendor invoices to ensure GST compliance and eligibility of ITC.
• Ensuring correct HSN codes, GST rates and place of supply in vendor and customer transactions.
• Tracking eligible and ineligible ITC and monitoring blocked credits under GST provisions.
• Maintaining ITC registers and ensuring compliance with Rule 36 and other GST provisions.
• Supporting the Tax Head during GST audits, departmental notices, assessments and reconciliations.
• Preparing documentation and reconciliations required during GST audits and regulatory reviews.
• Reviewing GST configurations and tax codes in SAP / ERP systems to ensure correct accounting treatment.
• Supporting automation and process improvements in GST reporting and compliance.
• Monitoring regulatory developments in GST laws, circulars and notifications and evaluating their business impact.
• Coordinating with Accounts Payable, Procurement, Sales and Logistics teams to ensure proper GST documentation and compliance.

Required Qualifications For Consideration

• CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance / M.Com
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in GST compliance and indirect taxation, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-state environment.
• Strong knowledge of GST laws, procedures and compliance requirements.
• Experience in GST returns, reconciliations, ITC management and GST audits.
• Familiarity with E-invoice and E-way bill processes.
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong Excel and data reconciliation skill
• Good communication and documentation skills.
