We are looking for a highly motivated SRE Intern to support our reliability and infrastructure engineering efforts. You will work closely with senior engineers to maintain scalable, secure, and highly available systems while gaining hands-on experience with modern cloud-native technologies.
Title : AWS Devops Intern / Site Reliability Engineering Intern
Location : Remote work
Work Employment Type: 6 Month Internship followed by PPO
Work Timings : 24*7 Rotational shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance
- Support Kubernetes-based deployments using EKS and containerized workloads (Docker)
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline setup and optimization using GitHub Actions
- Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for provisioning and managing resources
- Monitor system performance and reliability using observability tools (e.g., Datadog or similar)
- Troubleshoot production issues, participate in incident response, and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
- Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment processes
- Assist in implementing security best practices across infrastructure and applications
- Participate in on-call/rotation shifts to support production environments
Required Skills (Foundational)
- 6 Months of AWS services: EKS, VPC Networking, IAM, SQS, and Security fundamentals
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (preferably GitHub Actions)
- Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
- Basic understanding of incident management and monitoring concepts
Preferred / Advanced Skills
- Experience or exposure to API gateways like Kong
- Working knowledge of Python or Bash scripting
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog or similar)
- Understanding of service mesh technologies like Istio
