Job Summary

You will be responsible for managing and overseeing end-to-end content submission processes while ensuring submissions are timely, accurate, and compliant with given Brand/AMA guidelines.

This role entails providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members, conducting quality control checks, including proofreading and fact-checking, and performing comprehensive searches for relevant articles and references. Additionally, the role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless submission processes and address any content-related queries.

• Master’s degree in science / Pharma / Medical background / equivalent
• 8-12 years of experience in similar roles.
• Strong history of leading complex accounts, programs, or publication/medical communication portfolios.
• Experience in resource planning, review oversight, and quality governance.
• Ability to manage client or senior stakeholder relationships and resolve content strategy issues.
• Deep understanding of scientific communication quality, ethical publication practices, and medically reviewed content workflows.

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of writers across levels and support career development.
• Oversee multiple deliverables across accounts, brands, or therapy areas.
• Interpret clinical and scientific data to create engaging, accurate, and audience-appropriate content for various formats such as slide decks, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, newsletters, and digital materials.
• Work closely with medical experts, clients, and internal teams to understand objectives and develop scientifically sound deliverables.
• Review and fact-check content to ensure alignment with client specifications, brand guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Provide editorial and content guidance to junior writers and assist in quality assurance processes.
• Manage timelines and project priorities while ensuring high-quality output under tight deadlines.
• Stay updated on therapeutic area literature and industry trends to bring scientific rigor and strategic insight to content.
• Support proposal development and contribute to ideation for new business opportunities when needed.
• Prepare, review, and manage MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) submissions for medical writing deliverables, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
• Participate in client discussions, scientific workshops, and reviewer meetings.
• Strengthen writing processes, templates, and quality checkpoints.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and capability building.

Your Day-to-Day Deliverables will include:

• Reviewing complex drafts and providing strategic direction.
• Allocating work and balancing resources across programs.
• Leading internal scientific alignment meetings.
• Managing escalations related to evidence interpretation, review comments, or scope shifts.
• Monitoring quality trends and implementing process improvements.
• Mentoring senior and mid-level writers.
• Drafting and editing medical and scientific content in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Conducting background research and literature reviews to enrich content quality.
• Reviewing deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Participating in internal and client meetings to understand project goals and align expectations.
• Assisting in mentoring and supporting junior team members.
• Ensuring timely completion of assigned projects in alignment with timelines and quality standards.
