Job Purpose

The Site Quality Executive – Mechanical ensures material inspections, testing, and monitoring are conducted according to standards. They manage non-conformities, oversee calibration and technical responsibilities, and provide quality training to the workforce. Their role includes coordinating with stakeholders for inspections and maintaining comprehensive quality records.

Responsibilities

Material Inspection:

Receipt Inspection of material with respect to PO, Inspection reports, etc

Ensuring identification of products and traceability as required and indicating inspection and test status of jobs inspected

Coordinating with Customer/Authorized Inspection Agency/PMC for stage/final inspection and obtaining clearances

Ensuring calibration of measuring and testing equipment, welding machines, and maintaining records

Maintaining applicable Quality records

Testing And Monitoring

Organizing WPS/PQR, where they are not available for the given job requirements, and ensuring qualification of welders

Stage Inspection of site fabrication/erection activities for structural, piping, stationary/rotating equipment as per approved drawings and maintaining related QC documentation/statutory inspection documents (IBR)

Monitoring welding/welder/welding operator performance

Coordinating the required NDE & Heat treatment activities as per approved procedures/drawings

Final testing of equipment/piping and maintaining all applicable records

Non-Conformity Management

Identifying Non-conformities and Coordination with Customer/PMC for resolution

Ensuring a First-time right approach to minimize rework cost

Maintaining accurate records of non-conformities and their resolutions

Quality Training

Imparting Quality induction training and Quality Toolbox talks to the workforce at the project site

Promoting a First-time right approach and minimizing rework cost through effective training and communication

Ensuring all team members are aware of and adhere to quality standards and procedures

Technical Responsibilities

Knowledge in ASME B31.3, 31.1, API 1104, ASME B16.5 / ASME B16.9 / ASME B16.10 / ASME B16.11 / ASME B16.14 / ASME B16.25 / ASME Sec-II Part A, B / ASME Sec-V / ASME Sec-IX and materials such as CS / SS / AS / DSS / Inconel, etc

Applying technical expertise to ensure quality control across all aspects of site construction activities

Qualifications

Education Qualification:

Essential: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical)

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

5+ years of relevant experience

Recommended Certifications

• ASNT NDT Level II in VT, PT, RT, MPT & UT
• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI / WRI
• B Gas / NACE – Painting Qualification
• API Certifications
• Lead / Internal ISO 9001:2015
