About the Team:
CSE groups own multiple modules starting from Search, Reco, App Engineering, CATEX & Video
commerce. Shopping Experience Platform org enables the end to end shopping funnel for the multitude of Flipkart customers across our various business lines. Delighting our customers across their shopping journey is our mantra – starting from creating intent in our customers via push notifications, exciting them with our rich storefront experience, helping them discover products via search, assisting them in deciding about the products with a rich catalog, help them close the transaction; place that order and serving them with a reliable cancellation and returns experience.
Platforms like Product Indexes, Catalog, Order Management System, User Insight Engine form the
bulwark, a strong foundation on top of which the different pages of the shopping funnel, the different finding methods Search, Recommendations and Merchandising sit. Product page assures customers to a decision and Cart, Checkout pages earn the customers trust to close out the transaction.
We’ve built one of the best horizontal e-commerce platforms globally. But many of the vertical players like Myntra for Fashion, Nyka for personal care, have built deeper experiences for the categories. The focus of this group is to build deeper vertical experiences at Flipkart. We are looking to build innovative experiences for every vertical of flipkart Fashion, Mobiles, Appliances, Beauty, Personal Care, Fashion, Furniture, Sports, Electronics and more! Building and launching new categories for Flipkart.

About the role:
Lead a team of diverse groups of people who are moving towards realizing Flipkart’s vision. They are responsible for building high-performing teams where each team member feels the impact of their work. They set the direction for the team and support people in their career growth. They ensure that the teams have an inspiring vision for the future. The teams work on a spectrum of products and platforms which power Flipkart. Tech Lead provide technical leadership to identify and define the right component/system abstractions/capabilities for current/future product/platform asks. They are also responsible for driving execution using Agile methodologies by removing impediments along the way with the big picture in mind.
You are responsible for:
• Research, design and build highly reliable, available and scalable platforms
• Complete ownership of Service/Services that your team is responsible for
• Lead by example, mentor and guide team members on everything from structured problem
solving to development of best practices
• Chalk-out and implement the vision, technology roadmap and business goals
• Create clear career paths for team members and ensure their growth by mentoring them
• Evaluate performances regularly and share and seek feedback
• Operate with scale and speed, amidst flux in the fast-paced environment
• Set up best practices for development and overlook its adoption
• Architect and design technically robust, flexible and scalable solutions
• Work with designers, business analysts, and product managers to estimate and plan projects in an agile environment
• Drive exceptional performance and collaborate with other teams on unclear interfaces amidst the rapidly evolving organisational activities.
You should have:
• Total experience of 8+ years.
• A deep understanding of technologies and architecture in a highly scalable and available set-up
• Expertise in highly transactional, large relational and complex systems
• Strong object oriented design skills, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive modules and class-level interfaces
• Superior management skills to manage multi-engineer projects and experience in delivering high quality projects on time
• Strong technical competence with a track record of individual technical accomplishments.
Education Qualifications:
BE/B.Tech/ME/M.tech (or an equivalent degree) in Computer Science.
