The Company is seeking a Senior IT Internal Auditor (Lead IT Assurance Analyst) to join its global Assurance team in India. This is a key, high-visibility role supporting enterprise-wide risk management and compliance across India, the United States, and global operations. The role is suited to a forward-thinking audit professional with significant experience in IT controls, SOX compliance, and India IFC/ICOFR requirements, who is eager to work in an innovation-driven environment that leverages data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled audit techniques.

Key Responsibilities

IT Audit & Regulatory Compliance:

• Plan and execute risk-based IT audits covering IT General Controls (ITGCs), application controls, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and system implementations.
• Perform testing of IT controls supporting Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) in compliance with U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and India IFC/ICOFR requirements under the Indian Companies Act.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of controls within Oracle ERP and related enterprise systems using frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO 27001.

Global & Cross-Functional Audits

• Support audits of India-centric, US-centric, and global business processes, including Finance, HR, Sales, Procurement, Customer Services, R&D, and IT Operations.
• Identify control deficiencies, assess root causes, and recommend practical remediation actions.
• Support assurance activities for global shared services, third-party risk, and cross-border regulatory requirements.

Technology, Data & Innovation

• Leverage data analytics, automation, and AI-assisted audit techniques to enhance audit efficiency and insight.
• Contributes to the modernization of audit methodologies, including continuous auditing and intelligent testing.
• Provide advisory support for system implementations and digital transformation initiatives.

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Prepare clear, concise audit reports for senior management and global stakeholders.
• Communicate complex IT and control topics effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Track remediation plans and perform follow-up testing.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC’s and your own success:

• 3–5+ years of experience in IT audit, SOX compliance, or IT advisory roles.
• Experience auditing Oracle ERP or similar enterprise systems within a multinational environment.
• Hands-on experience with SOX ITGC testing and India IFC/ICOFR requirements including:
• Practical experience in designing and performing control testing, including evaluation of control design and operating effectiveness.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate testing results, control deficiencies, and risk implications to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting impact analysis for identified exceptions, including assessing root cause, severity, and potential business and risk impacts.

• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) are mandatory.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,117,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC’s employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
