Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with 6 to 10 years of experience to manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accrual accounting, reconciliations, and Travel & Expense (T&E) processes, along with hands-on experience in ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all activities
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments, ensuring proper cut-off and compliance
• Review and process Travel & Expense (T&E) reports via Expensify, ensuring adherence to company policies and timely reimbursements
• Maintain and monitor expense accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy in financial reporting

Perform detailed reconciliations, including:

• Vendor reconciliations
• Customer account reconciliations
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit card reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliation processes
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP)
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring smooth operations and timely issue resolution
• Assist in internal and external audits, providing required schedules, documentation, and explanations
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Work on ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Tally, and leverage Excel for reporting and analysis

Requirements:

• 6 to10 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accrual accounting
• Hands-on experience in month-end close and reconciliation processes
• Experience in handling T&E processes (Expensify preferred)
• Experience with financial reporting and audits
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with NetSuite
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience in a shared services or corporate accounting environment
