Procurement Manager -Edible Oil- Nepal Full Time NEW

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in the edible oil or FMCG manufacturing sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring cost efficiency, quality compliance, and uninterrupted supply of raw materials, packaging, and machinery components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals
• Manage sourcing and procurement of raw materials (e.g., crude oil, additives), packaging materials, and engineering/machinery parts
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers
• Ensure cost optimization, quality standards, and timely delivery of materials
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and develop alternative supplier sources
• Handle import procurement processes, including documentation, compliance, and logistics coordination
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply risks in the edible oil industry
• Collaborate with production, quality, and finance teams for planning and budgeting
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and quality standards
• Lead and mentor the procurement team for improved performance

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, preferably in edible oil or FMCG manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of import procedures, vendor management, and contract negotiation
• Familiarity with the edible oil supply chain, refining processes, and packaging procurement
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
