Description
Qatar Airways is looking for experienced staff to join our record to report team as Accountant to drive its Global Business Services (GBS) operations in Ahmedabad, India.
The position will be responsible to perform & monitor period end closing activity, bank reconciliation, financial planning & reporting accounting, supporting internal & external audits.
Responsibilities
- Performing period end closing activity i.e.GL processing, provisioning, GL scrutiny, accruals posting & bank & intercompany reconciliations
- Performing data entry & booking of general entries in ERP
- Providing financial data per deliverables
- Ensuring on time closing of books of accounts & preparing financial statements & review GL schedules
- Maintaining fixed assets register
- Preparing all reconciliations & schedules on monthly basis for internal review & yearly for audit purpose
- Supporting tax related activities (filing, liaising & assessment) for all applicable regions
- Supporting in internal & external audit
- Perform activities assigned by Team Lead and Senior Accountants
- Support team leads with relevant information with respect to any queries/ issues raised in governance forums

Qualification
- CA Fresher or CA (Inter) with minimum 2-3 years relevant work experience
- Prefer candidates from Airline industry or tax consultants
- Prefer user level experience on Oracle/ SAP/ other ERPs.
