Head of Applications India (m/f/d) Full Time NEW

The “Head of Applications India” is the leader of the equally titled teams based in Trivandrum and Pune, which are part of the Allianz Technology product area either “Applications 1” or “Applications 2”. Thus, becoming end-to-end accountable for overseeing and managing all aspects of the delivery operations, ensuring the successful execution and delivery of projects within agreed timelines and quality standards. In this role, you will be directly reporting to the member of Executive Management Team of Allianz Technology, responsible for Applications 1 and 2.

What You Do

• Effectively and efficiently steer Applications India team, and operate as trusted Lead with E2E accountability for the delivery and operations of all related Allianz Technology internal service offerings along with responsibility for the associated internal and external customers’ P&L.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive operational efficiency, optimize resource allocation and improve project delivery processes in collaboration senior internal stakeholders and customers.
• Closely collaborate with Vertical Leads in App 1/2, Head of Pillars and CTOs to identify and leverage synergies.
• Drive Allianz Technology transformation programs to ensure successful delivery on company ambitions and objectives and foster a culture of excellence & continuous improvement within the delivery center, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Act as a spokesperson for Applications 1/2 India, representing the company at industry events and customer meetings
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
• Develop and communicate a compelling vision and strategy for App1 / App2 India, aligning it with the company’s overall goals.

What You Bring

• 15+ years of progressive experience in technology delivery and operations, with minimum 5-7 years in senior leadership roles managing large, multi-location teams
• Proven end-to-end accountability for P&L management with track record of driving operational efficiency, resource optimization, and successful project delivery
• Strategic leadership capabilities with ability to develop and implement operational strategies, drive transformation programs, and align initiatives with organizational goals
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills with experience working effectively with C-level executives, CTOs, and cross-functional leaders
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to act as organizational spokesperson at industry events and customer meetings
• Deep understanding of emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape in application development and IT operations
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; MBA is a plus
• Basic knowledge of AI technology, principles, and their practical use in modern application environments
