Job Description:
We are building an enterprise data Lakehouse on Microsoft Fabric using Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for a banking client. The platform includes ~ % lift-and-shift ETL migration and ~ % net-new transformation logic, along with Power BI dashboards.
We are looking for a hands-on QA Lead who can own end-to-end data validation and quality, proactively drive testing, and ensure data accuracy across the platform.
Key Responsibilities:

Own end-to-end testing across data layers:
-
On-prem Bronze Silver Gold
-

Perform data reconciliation and root cause analysis for mismatches
-
Write complex T-SQL queries for validation and comparison
-
Conduct regression testing for migrated ETL pipelines
-
Validate that migrated outputs match legacy systems
-
Design and execute test cases for new business transformations
-
Perform data quality checks:
-
Nulls, duplicates, referential integrity, data type checks, range validation
-

Work across Microsoft Fabric:
-
Lakehouse’s, Pipelines, Notebooks
-

Identify schema drift and Delta Lake issues
-
Test Power BI dashboards:
-
KPIs, filters, drill-through, and data lineage validation
-

Manage test lifecycle using Azure DevOps
-
Build automation scripts using Python / PySpark
-
Log and classify defects clearly:

Pipeline issues / transformation bugs / data issues / modeling issues

Required Skills & Experience:
-
5+ years in Data Warehouse / ETL Testing
-
Strong expertise in SQL (fact & dimension validation)
-
3+ years of experience with Azure Data Platform
-
3+ years of PySpark / Notebook testing
-
2+ years of Power BI testing
-
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (min 1 year preferred)
