Role Overview:
The Project Head – Ground Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end execution of indoor landscaping projects across multiple cities. This role ensures high-quality delivery, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction while managing on-ground teams, vendors, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
* Lead and oversee execution of indoor landscaping projects across various locations
* Ensure timely installation, maintenance, and quality control of plant setups
* Standardize operational processes across cities for consistency and efficiency
2. Team Leadership & Coordination
* Manage city-level operations teams, supervisors, and horticulture staff
* Hire, train, and mentor field teams to maintain service excellence
* Coordinate between central office, regional teams, and clients
3. Project Execution
* Plan and monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables
* Ensure adherence to design specifications and client requirements
* Conduct site inspections and audits to maintain quality standards
4. Vendor & Supply Chain Management
* Oversee procurement and logistics of plants, materials, and equipment
* Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely supply across cities
* Optimize costs while maintaining quality standards
5. Client Experience
* Be the escalation point for key clients
* Ensure high-quality execution that leads to repeat business
* Work closely with founders/sales team to deliver on promises
6. Compliance & Quality Control
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards
* Implement quality assurance protocols for installations and maintenance
7. Reporting & Analytics
* Track KPIs, project progress, and operational metrics
* Provide regular reports to senior management
* Identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization
* 6. Firefighting + Problem Solving
* Expect things to break — your job is to fix them fast
* Handle delays, plant damage, team shortages, and site constraints
* Make decisions quickly with limited information
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
* 15–20 years of experience in operations/project management (8+ Years Experience in corporate-fit out industry is must)
* Proven experience managing multi-city operations
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Willingness to travel frequently
* Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, chaos, and rapid change
* Proven experience managing on-ground teams across locations
