About The Role
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical advice to customers, including commissioning, installing, and testing of products and equipment. This role ensures high-quality service delivery and supports customer satisfaction through technical expertise and problem resolution.
This job profile is intended for experienced professionals who apply practical knowledge of a job area and work independently with general supervision.
- Provide technical support to Customer/service centers including but not limited to
- Review inspection report
- Provide recommendations for method of repair.
- Conduct level 1 root cause failure analysis which consists of: providing possible cause of failure based on observations.

- Provide recommendation of upgrade based on findings.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for strip down, assembly and setting of complex.
- Provide technical support to Field Service
- Reply to technical queries
- Assist them with instructions for complex commissioning or troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support to customer and Front end team
- Reply to technical queries.
- Assist sales for technical meeting related to troublesome cases (out of warranty)
- Conduct level 2 root cause failure analysis which consists of:
- Liaise with customer to gather data required for analysis.
- reviewing site data provided by customer.
- prepare detailed root cause failure analysis report with background, result of analysis and recommendations.
- Conduct level 3 root cause failure analysis and performance assessment which consist of:
- Take measurement on equipment at site with vibration analyzer, ultra-sonic flow meter, thermodynamic method
Work Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in centrifugal pump design, testing and repair.
- Relevant experience in using calculation tools and software for pump design
- Relevant experience in Power and Oil & Gas industries, including knowledge of industry process, practices & standards.
Expertise (e.g. Professional, Technical)
- Technical expertise in using calculation tools and software design.
- Relevant experience in Power and Oil & Gas industries, including knowledge of industry process, practices & standards.
Education: BE/Equivalent, Subject:
Soft skills: Design and droughting skills
CAD92D & 3D) and General computer skills
Previous experience using 3D scan associated software for processing and modelling.
