Accounting & Reporting – Delivery Manager Full Time

Global R2R Delivery Lead

Your role and responsibilities:

As Delivery Manager of ABB’s Global Accounting Team, you will lead a high‑performing organization of 100+ professionals delivering end‑to‑end accounting services across 300+ reporting units in 90+ countries, ensuring compliance and excellence in areas such as month‑ and year‑end close, fixed assets, IFRS 16 lease accounting, payroll, cost accounting, reconciliations, and audit support. Operating across multiple shifts for seamless global coverage, you will partner with the Global Delivery Head to shape and execute the Record‑to‑Report strategy, drive finance transformation, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders worldwide, while overseeing critical processes including reporting, consolidation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet reviews.

The work model for the role is Hybrid.

• Drive global R2R strategy: Co‑lead ABB’s worldwide Record‑to‑Report roadmap and accounting transformation with senior leadership.
• Set global standards: Define and enforce accounting policies, governance frameworks, and compliance with IFRS/multi‑GAAP.
• Lead global operations: Oversee daily finance delivery across EMEA, Americas, and APAC, ensuring timely close for 300+ reporting units.
• Govern critical processes: Manage fixed assets, IFRS 16 lease accounting, payroll, cost accounting, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
• Inspire global teams: Lead and develop 100+ professionals, build leadership pipelines, and foster a high‑performance, inclusive culture.
• Advise senior leadership: Act as trusted partner to CFO and Group Controller, presenting updates and resolving complex compliance issues.
• Champion transformation: Drive automation, ERP enhancements, analytics adoption, and risk mitigation across global accounting operations.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent globally recognised qualification (mandatory).
• 15+ years in R2R/financial accounting, with 10+ years in multinational or GBS environments, 7+ years in senior leadership roles managing large, multi‑geography teams.
• Deep expertise across the full R2R spectrum: close cycles, fixed assets, IFRS 16 lease accounting, payroll, cost accounting, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong IFRS knowledge (IAS 16, IFRS 16, IAS 19, IFRS 9) plus exposure to multiple local GAAPs.
• Track record in finance transformation, automation, and efficiency programmes, Strong ERP proficiency (SAP preferred), with exposure to SAP S/4HANA, RPA, AI/ML, and analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma, Treasury, Tax, Group Consolidation, XBRL, and multilingual proficiency.
