When a contract lands on your desk with ambiguous language or a new pricing model, you dig in, ask the right questions, and figure out how it maps to the accounting. You are comfortable in SAP or RAR, and Excel is where you do your thinking, not just your reporting. Month-end close does not rattle you. You know what needs to happen, you keep your reconciliations clean, and you do not let things slip through.

You care about process. Not bureaucracy, but actual improvement. If something takes five steps when it should take two, you notice, and you speak up. What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage month-end revenue close activities for royalties, reviewing non-routine transactions and performing accounting assessments under ASC 606
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, disclosures, and supporting documentation for royalty and related revenue accounts
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related accounts in accordance with GAAP
• Support ad hoc revenue and billing analyses that inform business decisions and surface trends
• Work closely with the technical support team on automation initiatives, including royalty accounting tools and AI-driven process improvements
• Maintain internal control documentation and contribute to process enhancements that reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Legal, and FP&A to align revenue practices with business objectives and drive best practices

What You’ll Need

• CA qualification and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in revenue accounting for software or cloud-based offerings
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to complex contract terms, royalties, and software revenue streams
• Proficiency with SAP/RAR or Alliant and other ASC 606 revenue recognition tools
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, data analysis, and reconciliation work
• Ability to work flexible hours, including swing shift or PST hours, to support global close cycles and cross-functional collaboration
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex accounting treatments to non-finance stakeholders
