Ad Operations Executive – Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and performance-driven Ad Operations Executive to manage the end-to-end execution, optimization, and delivery of digital advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless campaign operations, maximizing delivery efficiency, and maintaining high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Execution & Management
· Manage the complete campaign lifecycle – from onboarding and setup to delivery, optimization, and closure
· Ensure campaigns are launched on time with accurate targeting, creatives, and tracking in place
· Monitor delivery, pacing, and performance to meet campaign KPIs
2. Ad Trafficking & Quality Assurance
· Execute ad trafficking using platforms like Google Ad Manager
· Perform thorough QA of media plans, creatives, and ad tags before launch
· Generate, test, and troubleshoot third-party tags (VAST, VPAID, trackers, etc.)
3. Campaign Optimization & Troubleshooting
· Analyze campaign performance and proactively optimize for better delivery and engagement
· Identify and resolve delivery issues such as discrepancies, under-delivery, or tracking gaps
· Work closely with tech teams to debug and resolve ad-serving issues
4. Client & Stakeholder Management
· Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for campaign updates
· Coordinate with Sales, Product, Tech, Design, and Finance teams for smooth execution
· Ensure timely communication on campaign status, delays, and performance insights
5. Reporting & Insights
· Generate detailed campaign performance reports with actionable insights
· Track delivery vs. commitments and highlight risks proactively
· Maintain accurate documentation for campaign learnings and benchmarks
6. Billing & Reconciliation
· Support billing processes including campaign closure, invoicing, and reconciliation
· Ensure alignment between delivered metrics and billed impressions
Requirements
· 1–2 years of experience in Ad Operations, preferably with a publisher or digital media company
· Hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager (mandatory)
· Strong understanding of ad serving, tracking, and programmatic ecosystem
· Familiarity with third-party trackers, HTML tags, and basic troubleshooting
· Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and analysis
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
· Good communication and stakeholder management skills
· No requirement for experience in performance marketing platforms such as Meta Ads or Google Search Ads
Good to Have (Bonus Skills)
· Experience with SSPs, DSPs, or programmatic platforms
· Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, or troubleshooting tools like browser console
· Exposure to tools like MOAT, IAS, or DV360
