Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for an Assistant General Manager (Taxation) at NSL Sugars. The AGM (Taxation) will oversee all taxation matters, including direct and indirect tax compliance, planning, regulatory filings, and audits. Responsibilities include coordinating with tax authorities, preparing tax returns, analyzing tax regulations, ensuring timely filings, and advising on tax optimization strategies. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and staying updated on tax laws and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in direct taxation, indirect taxation, and tax compliance procedures
• Proficiency in tax planning, regulatory filings, and preparation of tax returns
• Experience working with tax authorities, managing audits, and handling tax-related litigations
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations effectively
• Effective communication skills for liaising with authorities and cross-functional teams
• Proven leadership and organizational abilities for managing a taxation team
• Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or equivalent qualification preferred
• Familiarity with the sugar or manufacturing industry is an advantage
