AI/ML Engineer Intern – Smart Farming Solutions

At Nitroxen, we are building next-generation smart farming solutions powered by AI, Machine Learning, IoT, automation, and real-time analytics to transform agriculture productivity and profitability.

We are looking for a passionate AI/ML Engineer Intern who can support the development of machine learning models, data analytics, predictive algorithms, and intelligent decision-support systems for agriculture and smart farming applications.

This is a 3-month internship with an opportunity for full-time absorption based on performance.

Position

AI/ML Engineer Intern – Smart Farming & Predictive Analytics

Experience: 0–3 months

Location: Pune / Hybrid

Stipend: As per company norms

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing AI/ML solutions for agricultural and enterprise applications.
• Work on Computer Vision projects such as image classification, object detection, and image processing.
• Support the development of Generative AI applications using LLMs and AI tools.
• Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
• Assist in building and evaluating Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.
• Work with datasets from farms, IoT devices, images, documents, and business operations.
• Support the development of APIs and AI services using FastAPI.
• Participate in research, experimentation, and proof-of-concept development.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and software developers on product features.
• Document experiments, model results, and technical findings.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Python
• Understanding of Machine Learning concepts
• Basic knowledge of Deep Learning
• Familiarity with Pandas and NumPy
• Basic understanding of Scikit-Learn
• Basic knowledge of Computer Vision and OpenCV
• Understanding of SQL and databases
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub
• Knowledge of Ai Agents
• Interest in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
