The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, hands-on Apparel Merchandiser with 3+ years of end-to-end experience – someone who lives in the details of production, owns vendor relationships, and doesn’t let a single piece leave without meeting the mark. You’ll be the bridge between our design vision and the finished product on the shelf, managing everything from sampling to final dispatch.
What You’ll Do
Merchandising & Production
- Manage end-to-end production — from order placement to final delivery
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers on sampling, bulk production, and timelines
- Track and follow up on all open orders, ensuring on-time delivery at every stage
- Prepare and maintain detailed order trackers, production reports, and status updates
- Raise and review purchase orders, delivery challans, and production documentation
- Work closely with the design team to ensure samples are executed as per tech packs and specs
- Manage pre-production approvals – fabrics, trims, lab dips, strike-offs, and fit samples
- Negotiate lead times, quantities, and pricing with vendors to optimise cost and efficiency
Quality Control
- Conduct in-line and final inspections at vendor/factory locations when required
- Ensure all products meet Feydor’s quality standards for construction, finish, measurement, and appearance
- Identify defects and non-conformances early in the process and drive corrective actions
- Maintain QC checklists, inspection reports, and defect logs for every production run
- Review and approve pre-production and post-production samples before bulk sign-off
Inventory & Coordination
- Maintain accurate inventory records across production stages — raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Coordinate inward and outward stock movements with the warehouse team
- Track fabric and trim consumption, flag shortages, and ensure uninterrupted production flow
- Support dead stock identification and work with the team on clearance planning
- Liaise between design, production, accounts, and logistics for smooth end-to-end operations
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of apparel merchandising experience, preferably in a streetwear, casual, or contemporary fashion brand
- Proven experience handling end-to-end production — from sampling through bulk to final delivery
- Strong vendor coordination skills with knowledge of the Indian apparel supply chain
- Solid understanding of apparel QC processes — inspection methods, AQL standards, and defect classification
- Proficiency in maintaining production trackers, order sheets, and inventory records
- Attention to detail that borders on obsessive — you catch what others miss
- Strong communication skills to manage multiple vendor relationships simultaneously
- Comfortable working across teams — design, warehouse, accounts, and logistics
Good to Have
- Experience with both woven and knit categories
- Familiarity with garment costing and BOM preparation
- Exposure to export or DTC brand workflows
- Working knowledge of ERP or inventory management tools
