Job Description: Area Head – Channel Development (North & Central India)

Role Objective-
The Area Head – Partner Onboarding & Channel Development will be responsible for building, expanding, and activating the DSA/channel partner ecosystem across Uttar Pradesh, with a phased expansion into other North & Central markets including Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and adjoining geographies.
The role will focus on acquiring and scaling high-quality channel partners, enabling productivity, and driving Personal Loan & Business Loan disbursement growth through structured field engagement and strong market relationships.
This is a high-impact leadership role within Finance Buddha’s expansion strategy and will play a key role in establishing a dominant partner network in Uttar Pradesh.
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Partner Acquisition
• Identify, acquire, and onboard new DSAs, connectors, and channel partners across Uttar Pradesh and assigned territories
• Build a strong regional sourcing ecosystem for Personal Loans & Business Loans
• Drive partner acquisition aligned with onboarding and disbursement targets
• Leverage local market relationships to accelerate scale in Uttar Pradesh
2. Partner Activation & Productivity
• Support newly onboarded partners during early-stage setup and business activation
• Enable faster login-to-disbursement conversion
• Conduct partner training on product programs, lender fitment, eligibility, and documentation flows
• Improve partner productivity through structured engagement plans
3. Relationship Management
• Act as the primary business owner for channel partners in the region
• Provide day-to-day business support to active DSAs and connectors
• Resolve partner escalations and coordinate for improved turnaround times
• Build long-term relationships with high-performing sourcing partners
4. Business Growth Ownership
• Drive regional disbursement targets through partner engagement and sourcing plans
• Identify and scale high-potential partners
• Monitor productivity dashboards and implement corrective actions where required
• Lead market expansion from Uttar Pradesh into adjacent North & Central India markets over time
5. Market Intelligence
• Track competitor activity, payout structures, and channel trends
• Provide market feedback on pricing, sourcing behavior, and partner expectations
• Support regional campaigns and GTM initiatives for partner acquisition

Eligibility Criteria ✅
• 7+ years of experience in DSA/channel sales or sourcing ecosystem management
• Strong experience in:
o Personal Loans
o Business Loans / Unsecured Business Lending
o LAP experience will be an added advantage
• Strong existing DSA/channel relationships in Uttar Pradesh is highly preferred
• Proven track record of scaling partner-led sourcing businesses
• Strong understanding of DSA operating model and channel economics
• Comfortable with frequent travel across Uttar Pradesh and neighboring states
Preferred Candidate Profile
Strong preference for candidates with local Uttar Pradesh market experience, particularly those who have worked extensively in Lucknow and key UP markets.
Ideal candidates may come from:
• NBFC / Fintech channel sales teams
• Banking DSA relationship management roles
• Personal Loan / Business Loan sourcing ecosystems
• Regional sales leadership roles in unsecured lending
Candidates with strong experience in Personal Loans, Business Loans, and the DSA environment in Uttar Pradesh will be strongly preferred.
