Role Description:

We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager who can operate at the intersection of design, data, and business in a fast-paced startup environment. You will play a key role in building and scaling jewellery categories through strong product thinking, analytical rigour, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will be aligned to one of the following categories based on experience and business needs:

• Plain Gold Jewellery
• Studded Jewellery
• High Value Jewellery

Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy & Planning:

1. Support category planning across collections, price points, and product types
2. Analyse sales trends, customer behaviour, and product performance to drive decisions
3. Identify gaps and opportunities in assortment

Design Collaboration:

1. Work closely with the design team to ensure collections align with brand vision and consumer insights
2. Bring strong design sensibility to critique and refine product direction
3. Balance creativity with commercial viability

Product Development:

1. Translate concepts into technically feasible designs
2. Collaborate with sourcing and production teams

Analytics & Reporting:

1. Build and manage dashboards for category performance
2. Use Excel to track KPIs like sell-through, inventory turns, and margins
3. Present insights and recommendations

Market & Consumer Insights

1. Stay updated on jewellery trends, materials, and competitive landscape
2. Bring a sharp understanding of evolving consumer preferences, especially for modern Indian women

Key Requirements:

• 3 – 4 years of experience in jewellery category, merchandising, or product roles
• Strong design sensibility with an eye for proportion, detailing, and finish
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical thinking and comfort with data-driven decision-making
• Ability to balance creative instinct with commercial logic
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
