Assistant Vice President – People Operations Full Time

The Role

We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused AVP, People Operations to lead our human resources infrastructure, departmental administration, and business-enabling operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will bridge the gap between people management and business administration.

You will oversee day-to-day department workflows, design scalable policies, ensure legal compliance, and manage the administrative engines that keep our workplace thriving.

Key Responsibilities

• Department & People Leadership: Oversee the People Operations team, mentoring staff and optimizing daily internal administrative functions.
• Policy & Compliance Management: Design, update, and enforce company policies, ensuring strict compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
• Business Operations Alignment: Partner with cross-functional business heads to coordinate workforce planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to support revenue goals.
• Performance & Performance Management: Direct the operational execution of performance review cycles, employee relations management, and internal structural updates.
• Vendor & Benefits Administration: Oversee external HR vendors, compensation and benefits platforms, procurement workflows, and office management facilities.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in HR/People Operations, with at least 4+ years in a distinct leadership or managerial role.
• Operational Mindset: Deep expertise in building infrastructure, managing corporate budgets, and translating business strategy into operational tasks.
• Tech-Savvy: Strong hands-on proficiency with modern management platforms, analytics tools, and project management applications.
• Problem Solver: Excellent conflict resolution skills, high emotional intelligence, and an ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
