Who are we looking for?

This position is part of the MacDermid Alpha Electronic Solutions (MAES) Global Engineering team.

The primary purpose of this job is to drive New Product Development initiatives and Technology Transfer from R&D to Full-scale Manufacturing respective Product Lines.

This position will also manage a Scale-up Engineer and technicians in the Scale-up Lab located in Bangalore, India which is used for implementation of new product development and customer support projects including oversight of the performance tests, as well as data collection to determine limits of function for the product, produce the necessary batches to determine stability of the products and develop all documentation to meet all requirements for manufacturability.

Additionally, this position will also provide subject matter expertise and direct support to global Manufacturing sites, within the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions, to ensure productivity and quality standards are met in compliance with the product requirements and the company’s principles.

What will you be doing?

• Manage the overall scale-up process for respective product lines from R&D to Full-scale manufacturing, Including the development of the process, the compilation of the technology transfer package for manufacturing and the coordination with the production sites around the globe.
• Support manufacturing sites with the data and process analysis on the strategy to solve performance or process problems.
• Manage the process improvements on a global basis.
• Work on continuous process improvement projects to improve first pass yield and right the first time.
• Ensure global consistency of processes and products and minimize variation in the products globally.
• Coordinates and produces documentation for the technology transfers to all global sites.
• Coordinates Non-Engineered customer samples from Manufacturing sites or from Scale up Lab in Bangalore.
• Responsible for creating manufacturing procedures for new products, and update current documents including New Product approvals and Process Changes.
• Responsible for creating specifications for new products, and update current documents.
• Study and run validation tests to new technologies.
• Works closely with R&D, Marketing, Global Engineering and Manufacturing on all aspects scale-up and provide support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Who are You?

To successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job the incumbent should possess a Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in the engineering field, preferably Chemical Engineering, BS degree with at least 11 years or MS degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience in R&D/Production/Supply Chain, etc.

• Ability to interact professionally with internal customers at off-site MAES and divisional locations, both cross-functionally and inter-culturally.

• Addresses inquiries and resolves problems by using appropriate resources/other departments to achieve results/answers.
• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Present a professional attitude and handle confidential information according to non-disclosure guidelines.
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated capacity to work with Microsoft Office Products, Lotus Notes, and other critical computer applications such as Minitab/Statistical software, etc.
• Must be able to travel both globally and domestically up to 20% of working time.
• Flexibility to support global stakeholders across different time zones, as required.
