This role focuses on supporting the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance efficiency within Jabil, Inc. The Automation Jr. Engineer III will work under supervision, contributing to various stages of automation projects from conception to deployment.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the design and development of automation systems, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and other control components.
- Support the integration of new automation equipment into existing production lines.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including electrical schematics, PLC programs, and operation manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and engineering, to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of automation equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to automation processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and quality standards.
Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in automation engineering or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi) and HMI development.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems and robotic applications.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
