The role
As the Business Process Expert (BPE) – Intercompany, you will own the design, governance, and continuous improvement of global intercompany processes within the GBS and broader Finance organization.
You will ensure that intercompany transactions (e.g. cross-entity sales, recharges, allocations, and balances) are standardized, transparent, and efficiently executed across all regions. Acting as a key interface between Finance (e.g. Group & Country Controller’s Team, Tax), GBS operations, and IT/Digital teams, you will define the global blueprint and drive process excellence, automation, and data integrity across intercompany activities.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
You are accountable for the end-to-end design and governance of intercompany processes (e.g. intercompany billing, recharges, matching, reconciliation, and settlement). You define and maintain global process standards and ensure consistency across all entities and regions.
You drive the standardization of intercompany practices, including transaction flows, pricing logic, and reconciliation processes. You eliminate regional deviations and ensure alignment with group accounting and tax policies.
You act as the functional owner of intercompany-related tools and system functionalities (e.g. ERP intercompany modules, reconciliation platforms). You define system requirements, prioritize enhancements, and ensure optimal use of automation and digital solutions.
You ensure intercompany processes comply with internal policies, IFRS requirements, and tax regulations (e.g. transfer pricing guidelines). You define and maintain controls in collaboration with Group Financial Controls and Tax teams, ensuring audit readiness and transparency.
You govern intercompany master data (e.g. trading partner setup, intercompany relationships, pricing structures). You ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across systems to enable seamless processing and reconciliation.
You design and optimize intercompany reconciliation processes, ensuring timely matching and resolution of differences. You play a key role in period-end close activities, reducing imbalances and ensuring accurate eliminations for consolidation.
You define frameworks for identifying, tracking, and resolving intercompany mismatches and disputes. You drive root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize recurring issues.
You identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to automate intercompany processes (e.g. auto-matching, workflow tools, robotics). You collaborate with IT/Digital teams to implement scalable, technology-enabled solutions.
You collaborate closely with Group Controller’s team, Tax, Treasury, Regional Finance teams, and GBS operations. You act as the central point of expertise for intercompany processes, providing guidance and resolving complex cross-entity issues.
You define and monitor global KPIs (e.g. intercompany mismatches, reconciliation cycle time, aged balances, dispute resolution time). You use insights to drive continuous improvement and ensure high process performance.
You lead global transformation initiatives related to intercompany processes, including system implementations, process redesign, and migrations into GBS. You ensure effective change management, communication, and adoption across regions.
