Role: Business Development Manager – Imported Gourmet Food (HoReCa & Distribution)

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi for a Business Development Manager – Role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities with hotels, restaurants, cafés (HoReCa), and distributors for imported gourmet food brands.
The Business Development Manager will manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including prospecting, product presentations, negotiations, and closing deals, while maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts. Responsibilities include executing channel-wise sales plans, monitoring performance against targets, coordinating with supply chain and marketing teams, and ensuring timely availability of products. The role also includes market mapping, competitor analysis, participation in food shows or B2B events, and providing regular sales and pipeline reports to leadership. The successful candidate will act as a brand ambassador, upholding product knowledge and ensuring a premium customer experience.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in business development or sales in the food & beverage, gourmet, or HoReCa segment, preferably with imported or premium food brands.
• Strong relationship management skills with HoReCa accounts, distributors, and key decision-makers in the hospitality and food service industry.
• Ability to develop and execute channel-specific sales plans, manage pipelines, and achieve or exceed revenue and margin targets.
• Solid understanding of distribution networks, pricing, margins, and trade terms in the food industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort working on-site, traveling within the region to meet clients, conduct product presentations, and attend industry events.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools).
• Self-driven, disciplined, and organized, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
