Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carrier Counsellor role based in Chennai. The Carrier Counsellor will guide prospective and current learners in understanding cloud, DevOps, and AI career paths, recommending suitable EkasCloud programs based on their goals and background. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counselling sessions, explaining course structures and outcomes, and supporting learners from initial inquiry through enrollment. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in CRM tools, coordinating with training and marketing teams, and participating in events, webinars, or info sessions to engage potential learners. The Carrier Counsellor will be expected to meet counseling and enrollment targets while providing a supportive, ethical, and learner-centric experience.
Qualifications

• Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to counsel diverse learners and stakeholders.
• Experience in academic or career counselling, student advisory services, or education sales, preferably in IT, cloud, or technology domains.
• Basic understanding of Cloud, DevOps, or AI concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps, Generative AI) or willingness to learn quickly.
• Ability to assess learner profiles, clarify goals, and recommend appropriate training paths and certification roadmaps.
• Proficiency with CRM or enrollment management tools, and comfort working with spreadsheets, email, and virtual meeting platforms.
• Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to manage pipelines, follow up consistently, and achieve counseling and enrollment targets ethically.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple inquiries and cases simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; specialization in Education, Psychology, HR, Business, or related fields is an advantage.
• Prior experience in EdTech, training institutes, or higher education environments is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in regional languages relevant to the Chennai region is a plus.
