About Analogy
Analogy is an award winning design studio that works extremely closely with founders in building hardware and physical product design and development.
Our clients are hardware founders, product managers, and R&D teams building real, shippable things.
Our brand lives at the intersection of deep technical expertise and clear, human communication. We are building an audience of hardware founders, designers, and engineers who trust Analogy as the guide for their product journey. Content is how we earn that trust.
Why We Are Hiring for This Role
Our current social media and community work has been handled in-house, and we have built a solid foundation: an active content engine, a 90-day marketing plan, a functioning community, and influencer relationships in progress. As we scale, we need someone dedicated to owning this layer of the brand.
This is not a post-scheduler role.
We are looking for someone who thinks like a designer, communicates like a storyteller, and operates like a community builder. You will be the voice of Analogy on social media and the host of our communities, responsible for how the brand feels, not just what it says.
What You Will Own
Social Media Content (LinkedIn and Instagram)
Community Building and Management
Influencer and Creator Relations
Analytics and Reporting
Design and Visual Communication
Who You Are
You are a designer first
You have a design background: product design, communication design, UX, or similar. You understand what good design feels like and why it matters. You can look at a LinkedIn post and know immediately if the visual hierarchy is wrong. You think in systems, not one-off posts.
This is essential because Analogy’s audience is hardware founders, product designers, and engineers. If you cannot speak their language, even at a surface level, the content will feel off. You do not need to know how to design a PCB. But you should understand what a product development studio does and why it is hard.
You understand marketing, but it is not your whole identity
You know how social media algorithms work. You have run campaigns. You understand reach, impressions, engagement rate, and why saves matter more than likes. You have used a scheduling tool and an analytics dashboard.
But you are not someone who optimises purely for metrics. You care about the quality of the work: what you are actually saying, not just how many people saw it.
You have built and managed communities
This is the part of the role we care most about beyond social content. Building a community is different from growing a following. It requires showing up consistently, knowing your members, creating moments of connection, and giving people a reason to stay.
You have done this before: in a Circle, Slack group, Discord, private Facebook group, or similar. You know what a healthy community looks like and what early signs of disengagement feel like. You enjoy people.
You work with creators and influencers naturally
You know how to approach someone in a DM without it feeling transactional. You understand that a good influencer relationship is a real relationship, and that the best collabs come from genuine alignment, not just audience size.
