Your future duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Development

• Design and implement Lakehouse architecture aligned with business workloads.
• Build event-driven data pipelines using Databricks, Delta Lake, and PySpark.
• Integrate Databricks with AWS/Azure services (S3, Redshift, Synapse, etc.).

Platform Administration

• Manage and configure workspaces, clusters, SQL Warehouses, and jobs.
• Implement and administer Unity Catalog for metadata, lineage, and access control.
• Optimize cluster policies, auto-scaling, and cost management.

Governance & Security

• Define and enforce data governance policies.
• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and compliance standards.

DevOps & Reliability

• Set up CI/CD pipelines for notebooks, jobs, and Delta Live Tables.
• Monitor workspace performance, cluster stability, and job reliability.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for Databricks adoption.

Required Skills & Experience

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Core Skills: Databricks Admin, Delta Lake, PySpark, SQL, Python.
• Cloud Expertise: AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift) or Azure (Data Lake, Synapse).
• Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Power BI/Tableau for visualization.
• Experience: 6–10 years in Databricks platform administration.
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and leadership.
• Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
