Demand Forecasting And Planning:

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

• Build and manage pin-code level demand forecasting models across categories and SKUs.
• Analyse demand trends, seasonality, customer behaviour, and sales velocity to improve forecast accuracy
• Partner with category, buying, and supply chain teams for replenishment and inventory planning.
• Identify stock-out risks, excess inventory situations, and forecast gaps proactively.

Inventory And Assortment Analytics:

• Monitor inventory health across warehouses and dark stores.
• Optimise assortment planning and SKU rationalisation using demand, contribution, and inventory metrics.
• Drive inventory turns, in-stock availability, and working capital efficiency.
• Analyse ageing inventory, dead stock, and slow-moving SKUs and recommend corrective actions.
• Support new assortment and category expansion decisions through data-backed insights.

Inbound Supply Analytics:

• Analyse inbound supply chain metrics, including procurement planning, vendor fill rates, replenishment cycles, and inventory flow.
• Improve supplier performance visibility and replenishment efficiency through analytics.
• Build dashboards and automated MIS reports for inventory and inbound operations tracking.
• Identify process inefficiencies and support scalable improvements across procurement and replenishment operations.

Automation And Data Tools:

• Automate recurring reporting and operational workflows using Python and SQL.
• Build scalable analytical models, forecasting tools, and reporting frameworks.
• Work with large datasets across ERP, OMS, WMS, and BI systems.
• Improve decision-making speed and reporting accuracy through automation and process optimisation.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with Category, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Product teams.
• Present actionable insights and recommendations to business stakeholders and leadership.
• Support strategic planning and business reviews with deep-dive analyses and scenario modelling.
• Monitor market trends, customer demand patterns, and competitive benchmarks in quick commerce.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in supply chain analytics, demand planning, inventory analytics, or ecommerce operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Excel, and BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau/Looker.
• Strong understanding of inventory planning, replenishment, forecasting, and assortment analytics.
• Prior experience in ecommerce, retail, FMCG, or quick commerce preferred.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable business insights.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain, or related fields preferred.

Good To Have:

• Experience with statistical forecasting or machine learning models.
• Familiarity with dark store and hyperlocal inventory models.
• Experience automating workflows through scripting, APIs, or data tools.
• Understanding of procurement and vendor management analytics.
