Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of civil works ensuring timely completion within budget and to quality standards. Develop comprehensive project plans including resource allocation, timelines, and risk assessments.
Technical Supervision: Provide technical guidance and supervision to site engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to design specifications, engineering standards, and safety norms.
Quality Assurance and Control: Establish and implement rigorous quality control procedures for all civil construction activities. Conduct periodic inspections and audits to ensure compliance with contractual specifications and regulatory requirements.
Safety Management: Champion safety culture at the site by ensuring implementation of safety protocols and adherence to statutory safety guidelines. Conduct safety meetings and training sessions regularly to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.
Cost Control and Vendor Management: Monitor project expenditures against budgets and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Liaise with vendors and contractors to negotiate contracts, manage performance, and resolve technical issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation including progress reports, inspection records, and compliance certificates. Prepare and present regular status updates to senior management.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between civil engineering teams, project management, and external stakeholders such as regulatory authorities and local communities to facilitate seamless project progress.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement in civil engineering practices. Drive implementation of innovative construction techniques and sustainable solutions aligned with Adani’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentor junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Encourage knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all civil engineering activities comply with local laws, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is desirable.
Certification Required
Professional Engineer (PE) Certification or equivalent is preferred.
Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is an advantage.
Safety certification such as NEBOSH or IOSH will be beneficial.
