Equity Research Analyst Full Time

Market Sentiment is hiring an Equity Research Analyst to cover U.S. companies with a sharp focus on AI bottlenecks and thematic research. You’ll build institutional-quality models, publish decision-ready research, and work directly with the founder to drive high-conviction calls on a live portfolio.

Location & hours: On-site in Bengaluru. First 3 months in-office full-time. U.S. market coverage requires overlap with the U.S markets. (Work timings are 11 AM to 9 PM IST)

What you will do:

• Own coverage of a rolling list of U.S. equities with emphasis on AI supply chain
• Full three-statement models, DCF, comparable modeling, 10K/Q breakdowns (please apply only if you know what all of these mean)
• Produce short notes within 12–24 hours post-event and monthly deep dives that separate facts, analysis, and inference.
• Maintain a AI watchlist with traffic-light status, KPI trackers, and earnings “beat/miss” setups.
• Pull/clean data, build repeatable screens, and automate updates where possible.

Must-have qualifications:

• 3+ years in equity research
• Exceptional financial and valuation modelling skills
• Deep grasp of U.S. GAAP, SEC filings, revenue recognition nuances
• Crisp writing with evidence-based reasoning; comfortable defending a variant view.
• Thrives in a fast, feedback-heavy environment.
• CA/CFA Level 3/MBA/Investment Banking Experience
