Executive / Sr Executive / Asst Manager – Packaging & Operations (Cosmetic Industry)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and execution-focused Executive – Packaging & Operations to manage packaging development, production coordination, inventory planning, vendor management, and operational execution. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple stakeholders, and committed to maintaining quality, timelines, and cost efficiency across packaging and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Management
- Coordinate development, sourcing, and procurement of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials.
- Work closely with packaging vendors, printers, and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of packaging components.
- Review packaging artwork, specifications, dimensions, and print approvals before production.
- Monitor packaging quality standards and ensure consistency across batches.
- Identify opportunities for packaging optimization, cost reduction, and sustainability improvements.
- Maintain packaging inventory records and forecast packaging requirements.
Operations Management
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure smooth production planning and execution.
- Track production schedules, dispatches, and inventory levels.
- Manage purchase orders, material requirements, and stock replenishment.
- Ensure timely fulfilment of operational requirements and resolve supply-chain bottlenecks.
- Monitor operational KPIs, production timelines, and vendor performance.
- Maintain documentation related to production, inventory, packaging specifications, and quality processes.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Build and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers, manufacturers, logistics partners, and service providers.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with vendors.
- Coordinate with design, product development, procurement, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution.
Process Improvement
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Implement systems and controls to improve accuracy, productivity, and cost management.
- Support new product launches by ensuring packaging and operational readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Packaging Technology, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in Packaging, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, FMCG, Cosmetics, Personal Care, or Manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and production workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and vendor-management capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with cosmetic, skincare, personal care, FMCG, or D2C brands.
- Knowledge of packaging development, artwork management, and quality control processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.
