Key Skills & Technologies

• Dell, HPE, and Lenovo rack & tower servers
• Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)
• VMware and Hyper-V virtualization
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
• RAID configurations, NAS, SAN storage
• iDRAC, iLO, SSH, and RDP
• Monitoring and backup tools

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and infrastructure
• Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Execute server deployments, upgrades, and migrations
• Ensure system uptime, performance, and security compliance
• Collaborate with remote teams and vendors to resolve issues
• Maintain service documentation, reports, and asset records

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in server or infrastructure support
• Strong understanding of server hardware and networking fundamentals
• Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues on-site
• Willingness to travel within the Chicago area
• Excellent communication and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA, MCSA, or VMware (VCP) certifications
• Data center experience
• Knowledge of firewalls and security systems
