This Position reports to:

Automation Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC-based automation systems at customer sites. The role involves understanding project requirements, coordinating with customers, ensuring timely execution, and providing technical support for PLC, SCADA, communication networks, and associated field devices (Renewable field experience will be an added advantage).

This role is contributing to the Motion for Drive Products business division based out at ABB, Nelamangala Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

• All on-site activities and for acting as the interface to customer and/or third-party installation and commissioning team.
• Leading all discussions and meetings on-site, proposing appropriate resolutions to customer’s concerns while ensuring ABB guidelines, team objectives, and sales goals are met.
• Design/development/testing/commissioning of PLC/SCADA/HMI based automation projects.
• Documentation & reporting of automation projects.
• Handling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally, in alignment with the Service Quality Manager to maintain good customer relationships and ensures repeat customers.

Qualifications for the role:

• Education- BE/Btech- Electrical/EC/EI/EE
• Looking for a Field Service Engineer / Commissioning Engineer with 3–6 years of overall experience, preferably with strong hands-on site and commissioning experience in PLC-based automation projects.
• Travelling mandatory and Renewable field experience will be an added advantage.
• Managing customer, managing site activity as per the contract terms, commissioning/installation are the primary roles.
