Title: Founding Intern (Technical)

Summary

This is a ground floor opportunity at an early stage stealth startup currently in active development. You’ll be embedded in a real product that’s being built and shipped to users worldwide. The role is unpaid for now, with a clear path to a paid position and equity conversation as the company grows. We’re looking for first and second year students with the right instincts, not the perfect resume.

Success in this role looks like someone who shows up consistently, takes ownership of their work without being micromanaged, and grows into a founding team member over time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quality assurance and testing across product features
• Document bugs, edge cases and system behavior clearly and systematically
• Contribute to frontend or backend development tasks based on capability and growth
• Support cross-functional work across product, development and ops as needed
• Contribute to user research and outreach efforts
• Take ownership of tasks end to end, not just execution of instructions

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in first or second year of a CS, IT, Software Engineering or related technical degree
• Demonstrated ability to build end to end full stack projects — live demos or deployed links preferred, not just GitHub repos
• Strong programming fundamentals with the ability to explain your own codebase clearly, not just write it
• Experience writing technical documentation or structured notes
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Self-starter who can work independently across time zones
• Availability of 15-20 hours per week
• Curiosity and a builder’s mindset valued above credentials, but if you’ve shipped something real, that moves you to the front of the line.
