Fresh Produce Lead Full Time

About the Role

The Fresh Produce Lead owns the commercial cycle for our fresh vegetable segment end-to-end — buyer relationships, price negotiation, daily indents, dispatch, and post-sale resolution. The role also serves as the market’s voice back to the farm, translating buyer demand into clear signals that shape what we grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales and Account Management. Drive sales into modern trade and quick-commerce channels. Priority accounts include Reliance Fresh, Hyperpure, BigBasket, Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart.
• Retail Sourcing. Lead sourcing for the Jewar Organic Retail store, with procurement driven by daily store-level demand rather than farm availability.
• Market Intelligence. Track product, quality, and pricing trends across channels, and communicate actionable insights to the farming team so cropping decisions reflect real demand.
• Logistics and Operations. Oversee packaging, transport, cold-chain handling, and reverse logistics to ensure product integrity from farm to shelf.

Targets

• Months 1–3: Onboard a minimum of two aggregator accounts and commence active sales.

Experience & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in fresh produce, perishables, or agri-commodity sales, with at least 2 years sourcing or selling into modern trade and/or quick-commerce channels.
• Demonstrated track record of onboarding and managing aggregator or retail-chain accounts (e.g., BigBasket, Blinkit, Reliance Fresh, Zepto, Hyperpure, Swiggy Instamart).
• Working knowledge of fresh-produce grading, packaging standards, cold-chain logistics, and reverse-logistics processes.
• Strong commercial acumen across pricing, margin management, and daily indent and dispatch coordination.
• Familiarity with the NCR fruit and vegetable trade ecosystem, including mandi dynamics and last-mile delivery norms.
• Comfortable spending the majority of the working day in the field — across farms, pack-houses, and buyer locations.
• Fluency in Hindi and working proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly with farmers, buyers, and internal teams.
• Own conveyance with a valid driving licence; willingness to travel daily across the Noida–Jewar belt and wider NCR.
• Graduate in any discipline; a degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agri-Business, or Supply Chain Management is preferred but not essential.

Out of Scope

Production planning, agronomy, and field operations sit with a separate team. The Fresh Produce Lead coordinates closely with this team but does not direct their work.
