1.5 billion people worldwide live with hearing loss. Over 430 million need rehabilitation but aren’t receiving it and by 2050, this will affect 2.5 billion.
Not because solutions don’t exist – but because providers are buried under multiple tabs, paper workflows, and systems that don’t talk to each other. Millions go untreated while clinicians fight their own tools.
We’re fixing this.
Open Hearing is one AI-native operating system for hearing care – so every minute clawed back from the provider is a minute back with patients. Scale follows when the provider isn’t the bottleneck.
We already live in clinics. Now we’re building the team that takes this to millions.

About the Team
Open Hearing was founded by Harvard MBAs (Raghav and Kenneth) with firsthand experience building and scaling B2B and B2C unicorns in India. We’re backed by some of the most prominent names in U.S. hearing care, including the most successful software founder in the category and the president of one of the world’s largest professional organizations for hearing healthcare professionals.
What This Role Is (and Isn’t)
This is not a “learn and observe” internship.
This is identifying problems → turning them into products → shipping to production → iterating based on real usage.
You are here to own outcomes, not tasks.
What You’ll Actually Do
You won’t be working on dummy problems. You will:
- Turn ambiguous ideas into shipped products – from patient scheduling tools to provider dashboards
- Create AI-powered workflows – e.g.assists providers from note-taking to patient recommendations in real time
- Ship → observe → iterate continuously – read logs, talk to users, spot friction, fix it
- Make systems faster, simpler, and more reliable – in healthcare, reliability isn’t optional

- 3rd year Engineering student (2027 passouts)
- You’ve built real things – side projects, hackathons, tools beyond coursework
- You can explain why you built something a certain way, not just what you built
- Curious about AI/LLMs in real-world systems – not just the hype, but the hard parts
- You care about users and outcomes, not just code.
You’re a builder, not just a developer

We don’t care about resumes as much as we care about thinking. A strong application shows:
- A project you built end-to-end
- Clear reasoning and trade-offs behind your decisions
