Summary Position Summary National Consulting Services The National Office, a key Strategic Enabler in our new model, is comprised of professionals with various areas of focus that collectively provide mission critical services to support Deloitte’s overall success. Build enterprise-grade applications that help drive innovation across Deloitte’s technology ecosystem. As a Software Engineer II, you will develop scalable backend and frontend solutions, build secure APIs, and contribute to modern engineering practices across the software development lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work with AI-enabled development tools, cloud and container technologies, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products at scale.
Work you’ll do
As a Software Engineer II on the IDT team, you will be responsible for:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across backend and frontend components.
- Build and support secure APIs and services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Translate UI designs into functional features using React.js or Angular and TypeScript.
- Implement testing, code quality, and CI/CD practices to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver features and mentor junior team members.

IDT encompasses many teams—dreamers, designers, builders—and partners with the business to bring a unique POV to deliver services and products for clients.
Location: Hyderabad / Bengaluru / Chennai / Pune
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in full stack engineering or backend software engineering roles
- Experience building production APIs using Python and FastAPI or Flask
- Experience developing frontend applications using React.js or Angular and TypeScript
- Experience using Docker, Git, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD tools
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases and caching technologies such as Redis
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor AI in engineering workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field
Preferred:
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with agentic architectures or frameworks such as LangChain
- Experience with prompt engineering, AI workflow orchestration, or autonomous agent design
- Experience with Storybook, Ladle, JFrog, or other DevOps toolchains
- Experience integrating with artifact repositories and secrets managers such as Doppler
